Healthcare Initiatives

The Maitreya Buddha Project aims to serve Kushinagar and villages in the area by providing essential curative and preventive medical services, and health education on nutrition, hygiene, sanitation, reproductive health, and sexually transmitted diseases.

The program will address the most common local health problems including tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, elephantitis, malnutrition, anaemia, worm and parasitic infestations, gynaecological problems, family planning, post polio syndrome, respiratory infections, skin diseases, and other problems resulting from poverty, drought, and sanitary conditions characteristic of impoverished communities.

Phase 1 will be developed in response to the immediate needs as identified by local healthcare practitioners and research studies. Join us to help the Maitreya Buddha Project’s healthcare initiatives in and around Kushinagar.
