Maitreya Relic Tour Closing

The Maitreya Relic Tour Is Closing Down after 15 Years on the Road

As the Maitreya Projects in India are moving forward, Lama Zopa Rinpoche has advised that the touring collections of relics be placed on permanent display at the 2 Maitreya Project sites in India – Bodhgaya and Kushinagar. Rinpoche feels it is important that the Relics are at the Maitreya Project sites for pilgrims to pay respect to while the statues are being built.

Accordingly, Maitreya Loving Kindness Tour Relic events will conclude 15 years of continuous travel at the end of 2015.

The Tour concludes with a huge and heart felt “thank you”, to every single relic event host, volunteer, and donor, and especially to Victoria Coleman and her tireless teams of Relic Custodians – an amazing team of people that has made 885 Relic events possible throughout six continents during the past 15 years.

We estimate that through the Maitreya Relic Tour several million visitors have made a connection with the Buddhas, Gurus, and Masters whose relics have travelled the world. We pray that the blessings and power of the extraordinary collection of relics will create the conditions for the Maitreya statues to manifest quickly and so bring benefit to many for lifetimes to come.”

As quickly as possible, during 2016, Maitreya Buddha Project in Kushinagar will install this unique collection of relics of Buddhas, Masters, and Saints, for public display and veneration, on Maitreya Buddha Project land in Kushinagar.
